canes always troll mtl but fact is mtl draws more fans even with a bad team 19 895. 94& cap canes 16 500 82& cap imagine if canes had 6 wins u would have 10 000 per game lol
Meh. I say this as a Habs fan. We don't need depth. We need reliable starting lines. We drafted KK as one of those, and it won't happen. Frankly, I'd rather move on with the new management and start there. Rather than just trying to make up for decisions that won't make enormous impacts.
As a Canes fan, since he’s moved back to the middle (because he started the year on the wing) he’s been FANTASTIC. He’s scoring at roughly a 0.8 PPG rate as a center, including getting time as the top C on the team with Staal and Aho out. He’s been great. He’s out scoring Dvorak and would lead the Habs in scoring. This has been a great move for the Canes.
Oui 👍👍👍👍👍
Go Habs go Canadiens de Montréal 💙🤍❤️
So I took a look at the stats that actually mean something. 7 goals and 6 assists ( Freddy Anderson has 4 assists) in 29 games. KK is on pace for a 37 point season at $6.1 million.I’m glad that you weren’t running the team when the offer sheet was made.
To be honest, I miss KK. But I feel he will sign with Montreal next year. Habs will get the last laugh. 2.5 Million for 4 years, signing bonus of 82 dollars, his number with Carolina!
I mean if you look at any player in their hottest couple of games in a season you can make them look good. He's scored a few points in 3 games. That just makes the rest of this season look even worst right? He's got 13 points on the year. 5 of them came in the last 3 games. That means he only has 8 points through all the other games. So yeah you can spin it as he's heat up. Or you can spin it as it's as an aberration in a horrible season to give him mediocre looking numbers instead of terrible. Montreal clearly made the right decision walking away and taking the picks. Barely blocks. Gets like a hit a game. Does have more takeaways then giveaways. And is over 50% on faceoffs. But is still only playing 12 minutes average time on ice. It's a weird situation being deployed like an offensive specialist despite only getting 3rd line minutes. They are clearly a good enough team to be able to do it. And they can float his 6m dollar hit. But in no way is he worth even close to that. He was probably only worth 2.5 maybe 3. And he's maybe increased his value to being worth 4 now. Having a winning faceoff percentage and being effective on both sides of the ice even in his limited minutes is better than you can say he showed in Montreal. But still aint worth close to 6. To answer the question you posed at 9:46 "Would he be doing as well on Montreal" no. He'd be second line center on Montreal (They wouldn't have gone out and gotten Dvorak if he was still on the team). He'd be against much tougher defensive matchups. I don't think he's as good of a player as Dvorak so I think his numbers would be worse if he was in those shoes. It's all speculation of course. Because we can't switch those players out and verify it's true. But that's my opinion on the matter. That he's overpaid, he's being protected in a lineup, he's benefitting from it, and he's still not producing like crazy. This isn't like when Kessel was on the Penguins third line and used those matchups to destroy the league.
Meh. He’s got a good streak right now but that happens to every player. The more I look at him, he was very lucky to get that contract because he’s probably never getting that salary again. He’s a good 40 points 3rd line center. That’s it.
34points in 79 games with lehkonen andarmia not bad 😂 just imagine him with hoffman and Anderson he would be a good fit with the habs as the center on the 2 line but hes gone 😑😔
As a Habs fan. I absolutely hate the hurricanes (always considered them the one team I disliked) but everytime I see that KK got a point in a game it makes me really happy. Hope he has a dominant end of season and playoffs
Wish Montreal took Tkachuk or Hughes or even Hayton
