Alright, what player should pop up next video? First response 😳
Cole Caufield is a beast.
Seriously small players needa stop getting overlooked😳
I think CC is now the 4th most valuable player from 2019 draft (Hughes, Dach and Seider beat him out narrowly)
Kirby Dach, Trevor Zegras and Spencer Knight don’t look like bad picks
the apostrophe in the title (“GM’s”) is unnecessary
Spencer knight @14 is a steal to!
Your way ahead of yourself
If you think about it though this kid came in fresh as hell bro. These guys been playing the whole dang season are beat up to shit. Next year we will be able to tell if this kid is the truth or if it was just him being fresh and new. He does have some crazy speed and moves though.
Keep an eye out for Dylan cozens.
Half of the top 15 played together in the development program. Insane
A lot depends on how good that team already is. If they already have some roster talent.
Not sure what Caufield's performance would be on a very bad team.
Canadiens have faith youth will continue to grow in playoff spotlight
When you’re as young as Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield, every day represents an opportunity.
Part of the reason why the Montreal Canadiens have managed to play into the summer is the life those players have brought to the lineup, and the way they’ve been able to grow through challenges during this extended playoff run.
The Stanley Cup Final arrived with the biggest challenge yet: A regular matchup with the Nikita Kucherov–Brayden Point–Ondrej Palat line, at least for the games here at Amalie Arena where Lightning head coach Jon Cooper controls last change.
Caufield to 9th OVR. But I don't put him ahead of soderstrom as a Cakgary fan, so I'd need to remake the top 10 in the 2019 ED
I’m still holding faith in Philip Broberg being a good pick for the Oilers at 8 in that draft even though he hasn’t played in North America yet but caufield would sure look nice on McDavid or Draisaitl’s wing
Great video. Agree with everything you said. It’s be nice if you took a look at what the players picked above him did this year for comparison.
To be completely honest, I feel like a lot teams in the top 15 probably do t go with Caufield even with what we know now. Teams like Arizona, Edmonton, and Vancouver needed specific types of players they were lacking, so I think he doesn’t go in the top 10. However, I do believe he is a top 10 talent from the draft. Probably Buffalo should have taken him I think.
Sittler, Gilmore and Keon were all small and great.
I think Dylan Cozens for buffalo though was the right pick. He’s gonna go under the radar because he’s in buffalo but even though I wanted the Sabres to pick Caufield, Dylan Cozens looks like a stud.
calder trophy favorites for next year
1 zegras
2 tomasino
3caufield
4 seider
5 knight
5-1 later😂
I really like Broberg, but Edmonton would be in a much better spot if they had chosen Caufield instead. Him and Holloway would be insane playing on McDavid's wings.
Cory Conacher feelings
while 72 goals in that season may seem to be inflated a tad, you still don't score THAT many goals in a season completely on accident. the dude has LOADS of skill and being a Flyers fan, I was baffled when they took York over him. and while as of now, it seems that the York pick may end up paying off, you can't really explain the logic of not picking a guy who clearly has the skill and ability to score goals especially when your teams 'Stars' are aging and inconsistent at best. York better be damn good, that's all that Im gonna say.
Mortz sieder will be better than caufield
“Game 7 should be insane”
Tampa Bay proceeds to win 1 – 0
These GMs and their old school thinking smh
Caufield is great..
BUT, I'm still happy with the Red Wings picking Seider at 6. I can't wait to watch his entire career. 100% getting his jersey
way overrated
I had him at No. 5 overall in my mock draft:
canucksfanstephe.wordpress.com/2019/05/22/stephes-2019-nhl-mock-draft/
And I'd probably still take him there.
Who is Cale Mackaren??? If your gonna post stuff like this get it right.
Cale Makar ( Maker) huge difference.
Gretzky annunciated Greztkien…….your not even close its an insult to the kid.
Well I could add one more example in case if people don't remember…Theoren Fleury.
Sorry happy with big Mo!
Bcoz he had a couple good weeks? Thats all it takes to be a superstar? Interesting…
caufield for president
He's a hungry Skater. Head up usually, stick on ice. Watch looking backwards tho looking for the pass …
This is debate-able. He is a good player, but I think the concerns at the time were justified (just not the one about his size). I think it’s way too early to be making definitive statements that any of those GM’s would or should regret their pick. There’s only about 2 who haven’t looked promising or done well so far- and of those, it’s possible they both end up amazing still. I think Caulfield was a perfect fit going to MTL, but there was also a lot more to it than his size. Much of Caulfield’s reasons had more to do with how skilled the rest of that team was and how much he seemed to just disappear until he’d catch a pass and shoot. He developed his skating and individual play in his draft + 1 year, but it wasn’t just that he played with Hughes. It was that he played with the best NTDP team ever, and had tons of flashier players with complete skill sets at the time – and he was small. I do think his size hurt him, don’t get me wrong, but it wasn’t the only reason he dropped. I had expected him to go around 8-10 at the time.
I wonder how this draft would look different today. I’m a Detroit fan and I’m glad we got Seider but caufield would be awfully tempting as well. It’s not a big mans game anymore. It’s speed and finesse
There are no STUPID GMs in the NHL or any league or any sport. People ascend to the rank of GM because they have already proven themselves to be SMART–NOT stupid. That being said, let's consider that not all players develop at the same rate and nor do they peak at the same age. There is a hit-and-miss factor/hit-and-win factor with selecting players. I think WRONG is the right word to describe the GMs that you are talking about. They are NOT stupid.
It's like gambling with the young players as you can't really tell who is going to make it to the top level
Caufield and Boldy would go higher..
I might draft him at 3rd overall
Oh my god, he is like this new shiny penny. The kid is only 5 feet 6 inches, he is going to get crushed during a regular NHL season.
I'm still pretty happy with canucks getting hoglander in the second round. Podkolzin will get a look this coming season, so we will see if canucks made a mistake passing up on caufield
Wow imagine the oilers with caufield…
habs just got bigger , cant have more than a few small guys imo
Leafs were not dumb enough…. on this one, we got Muzzin and Campbell out of our pick
Dont know why he didn’t put martin st.louis in his example
youre dead wrong and making an idiot out of yourself! how a player does depends on him and his chemistry with a team!!!! Just because he does Great with the habs doesn't he would do jack shit with another team!
