It was bound to happen, seeing as it’s such a hot topic amongst NHL fanbases, so let’s just nip that idea right in the bud here.
Let’s talk about Buffalo Sabres struggling star Jack Eichel, and whether or not a trade with the Montreal Canadiens would work—and honestly, knowing what I know about this Habs fanbase and cap situation, I don’t think it’d work out at all, but let’s discuss it anyway.
This video is taking place during 2021 NHL Season.

now Eichel linked to the Habs again man you have a crystall ball or something!
Montreal needs a superstar to reach the promise land, Eichel could be that guy. Weber and Price may have two years left in them, window is closing, Make the trade.
Only kin your dream that the Hans be able to get Jack Eickal
I’ll give them our No. 1 centre Danault, fast talented Mete, Shorthanded king Byron, one punch knockout Kulak and the exotic Finn Armia and all those 4,5,6,7,8th picks MB’s been hoarding. It’s all about how you package them. 😉
bottom line, canadians will never in a million years consider it
i would prefer give 2 first pick than trade suzuki
Horvat + Podkolzin + Eriksson + 2nd round pick for Eichel + 4th round pick – Boom
I'm doing kk+ Caufieled + struble and 2 first rounders
Suzuki, Petry, Anderson and Caufield would all be leaving Montreal for Eichel
Eichel = 10 mill cap hit
Petry and Anderson = 11 mill cap hit
Habs = $309,100 cap space
Eichel = Center
Suzuki = Center
Caufield = prospect
A 1st and 2nd plus price and maybe I would do it if I’m buffalo
There is a premium price attached to any trade involving Jack Eichel. That price is increased when you consider a trade within the division the Sabres play in. If the trade doesn’t hurt it doesn’t happen. That would be the most significant trade in the last 15 years for the Buffalo Sabres. If the trade isn’t a clear win for the Sabres it doesn’t happen. If people around the league do not think Montreal grossly overpaid, then it’s not going to happen.
Let's talk about Cary Price's preposterous salary.
suzuki, danault, drouin, allen, norlinder, 1st.
this is what we'd have to give up. we're better off not doing it. if we didn't have price and weber's huge deals for forever, i'd feel better about adding a 10 mil player. and he's worth the money. it's just that it comes at the expense of team and prospect depth.
i'll be very surprised if he moves and it's not the rangers.
No way. Kotkaniemi instead of Suzuki and I give a first pick instead. I would just never trade Suzuki. You will regret it soon. I could make a deal including Caufield, I could consider many good players we have but never Suzuki.
That Montreal trade offer is absolutely ridiculous and won’t get Eichels left leg!
If Eichel ever gets traded there’s absolutely zero chance that he will be traded to a team in the eastern conference. Eichel would demand a kings ransom and only a handful of teams could afford to fit in Eichels contract plus offering a big trade package. Maybe a team like kings could offer two first,Byfield Kaliyev and Bjornfot to start with. Sabres might need to start a rebuild so I would actually listen to what teams would offer and I’m a Sabres fan.
Price, Suzuki and a 1st
Price, KK and a 1st
Price, Danault and a 1st for him
Wait, why did it say “aka John Eichel”?😂
